Karl Linney (1707-1778)

A Swedish naturalist, ‘the father of contemporary botanic systematics’ and the creator of contemporary biologic nomenclature. The works of Linney were a push for systematic botanics and zoology.Worked-out terms and convenient numenclature made it much easier to sort out the huge material, which previously was so difficult to deal with.

When translating texts on biology it is necessary to constantly consult the reference books, and many of the terms are of Greek or Latin origin. Generally we follow the requirements of the scientific journal for which the article is being translated, regarding the rules of the use of terms, formulas, measuring units, names of chemicals.

Pushkin Alexander Sergeevich (06.06.1799 - 10.02.1837)

The greatest Russian poet, writer and translator, an initiator of the new style of Russian literature, the creator of Russian literary language. Graduated Tsarskoselsky (Alexander) lyceum (1817). The main feature of Pushkin poetry is the power of expression along with its conciseness and laconic brevity. Pushkin’s knowledge of French language was perfect. They know the words of a French investigator of Russian literature earl Alexey Sent-Pri that “the wording of Pushkin’s letters in French would be an honour to any French writer”.

Literary translation is the peak of translator’s literary skill. How many books became available for reading when translators appeared! We highly recommend to order translation of fiction from Russian into foreign languages only with well-educated native speakers. Native speakers whose translation got high rewards from our clients work with us.

The language of mathematics is abound in specific terms. The best thing is when translator has a degree in mathematics. Demonstration and getting data solutions requires special ingenuity from the translator. It is the style and the logics of rendering which are important here.

This sector was later developed by his comerade and desciple laureate of the Nobel Prize I.I. Mechnikov.

Translation of medical texts is one of the most complicated types of translation which is very much popular and needed nowerdays, as the issues of environmental pollution and preserving the health of people come to the foreground. For translating medical texts we engage translators having a degree in medicine, and use a wide list of terms. One of the examples of translations on neurotoxicology is given below. The book was translated from English into Russian language.

Along with the development of economic and financial instruments there appear more and more new terms in the language. For the translation of the latter specific knowledge from the history of the subject of translation is necessary.

Text editing and glossary creation
