Simultaneous interpretation is one of the most difficult types of oral interpreter's work. It requires the highest qualification and a high degree of concentration of the interpreter. Interpreters are working in pairs and take turns interpreting around every 15–20 minutes. The simultaneous interpreters work under the constant information load, the time factor, the tremendous amount of concentration required, fatigue, the confined environment of the booth.

The equipment, the list of participants are prepared long before the event. Before the conference interpreting we have to ask you:

• materials: reports, available materials on the subject, event program
• participants: list of speakers, source and target languages, names and regalia of the speakers, the number of participants.
• premises and equipment: number of the earphones, location of the interpreters during the event (booth, in the room, neighboring room).
